A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. vistas-de-ocean-village-y-de-la-pista-del-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_22713695086_o 14-agosto-2014-colas-de-accceso-a-gibraltar07_14918199362_o img_9930_43872623462_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez04_12102585786_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9699812129_o metropol-valencia-espaa_14029867721_o foot-11_17060602324_o foot-12_17496782969_o 7u3a9477_49597827667_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0118_15439633672_o 7u3a6498_49454484791_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0193-bw_15253361098_o Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach 2g9a0727_48806237582_o 26-julio-2014-partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-17_14569017150_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho09_14314268312_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho17_14129560307_o img_4133_20841544324_o 7u3a9663_49901121447_o 7u3a5775_49426045167_o ragged-staff-2_27855465879_o img_5263_48919601271_o img_5297_48919071283_o img_4614_48713815278_o img_3838_30891438957_o rag-n-bone-man-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-15_44833870942_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-48_31299662064_o reunin-del-ministro-principal-con-susana-daz-en-sevilla_28112276699_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30656122673_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331777524_o 2g9a5972_30746307420_o_31001132081_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978712796_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-99_22784236218_o 2g9a4584_30827334811_o 2g9a4611_30827330211_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-18_30790812401_o 4-abr-2016-inauguracin-nueva-sede-banco-internacional-de-gibraltar-2_26168373991_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_9159_26534148226_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24129255589_o img_8702_24112856189_o img_2994_21596151730_o 2015_09_14__0169_21235752420_o img_8589_20700535283_o 2019-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20682434616_o 7U3A4823 Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-42-Christian-Santos-Alcalde-de-Gibraltar
