181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-162_22122656174_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23525562822_o airport-0427_39604106902_o airport-0431_24765626727_o img_0350_45389522814_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-olly-murs-marcos-moreno10_9699864829_o nolan-frendo-gibraltar-primer-puesto_14057450293_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival12_14463429954_o img_9966_21457063922_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Trafalgar-3 portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-fondeado-en-el-puerto-de-gibraltar-1_40133905072_o img_8405_24765365267_o The Anniversary of The Battle Of Trafalgar, An act of remembrance held within The Trafalgar Cemetery Gibraltar, Sunday 18th October 2015.VIP's included Interim Governor, Chief Minister, 2nd Sea Lord and CBF. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 24-jun-2016-comparecencia-de-fabin-picardo-en-el-parlamento-de-gibraltar-tras-referndum-permanencia-ru-en-ue-14_27802384691_o 7u3a6937_51342922503_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
