Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory.
Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place.One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started.The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public.

Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - Candidates from across both parties took time off for a quick lunch as they continued their walk abouts between polling station.Acting Governor Alison Macmilan was also observed visiting polling stations in the company of Presiding Officer Paul Martinez.Others involved in monitoring the progress of the voting has been Unite whose senior committee were on a walk about between polling stations.

Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - The voting boxes arrived at the polling stations early this morning as Gibraltar prepared to start voting for its new government. Escorted by the Royal Gibraltar Police civil servants manning the polling stations, along with witnesses will now seal the boxes before the doors opened at 9am.RGP officers were at the polling stations since early morning searching and securing all stations before the ballot boxes arrivedTwo main parties are running for election, the GSLP/Liberals led by Fabian Picardo and the GSD led by Daniel Feetham.
