180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral otro-clsico-del-turismo-de-gibraltar-el-queens-hotel_22727032072_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9404_48908089726_o untitled_panorama-6_19896761350_o 20150911_151621749_ios_22556050620_o 1_discurso-del-ministro-principal-en-la-cuarta-comisin-de-la-asamblea-general-de-la-organizacin-de-naciones-unidas_29491607544_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23266202179_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23266215749_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar15_14800938039_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23216950362_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013_9699747177_o img_8812_20147134501_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25782337651_o img_6682_35541521895_o 2g9a0287_48801281171_o 2017-50th-Anniversary-of-the-1967-Referendum partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-12_14732690116_o 2g9a0352_48800932988_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-25_13967080290_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-27_37623774272_o Trafalgar-1 img_9654_25762520248_o gib-calling-panorama-5_48699831377_o img_8149_30729847318_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-68_32141122185_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-114_38515437742_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-13_28981317203_o img_2319_40134084754_o 2g9a5057_22782516378_o img_2229_36326661384_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-71_25326916309_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-87_25326904529_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29665528520_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29845560342_o img_5156_28855007944_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26679092445_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25466666316_o The Gibraltar Music Festival 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-80_21000529299_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth_14187846203_o 2g9a9523_27596416140_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387596085_o img_2503_24460558584_o 2g9a0322_26882459281_o Gibraltar, 25 septiembre 2013.
