160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 4-oct-2017-cm-y-representantes-de-gibraltar-en-cuarta-comisin-de-naciones-unidas-5_37398298730_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23266166339_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar12_14989739215_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival09_14981923457_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_1815_31692341668_o jebel-sahara-5_23103815342_o 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-20_23770224664_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-33_19908517105_o partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-06_14755368792_o 31-de-mayo-ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho04_14316110555_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente05_12249585836_o 2g9a9533_50032088603_o img_0210_29910454658_o 7u3a5103_49336224273_o 7u3a5821_49425351433_o devils-tongue-1_39603608482_o P1080601 Mezquita-11 P1080684 img_8290_46581729942_o img_1279_36830742482_o img_1744_43916385254_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402218430_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-91_37830946604_o img_0485_36082691900_o 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-2_38627527620_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-29_34309885452_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354044403_o 2g9a4488_30280747484_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354076983_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-54_30800409462_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29531205016_o 10-may-2016-visita-inaugural-crucero-jewel-of-the-seas-17_26935099285_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-20_22868950694_o 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-24_19955884172_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-04_15357851485_o img_2883_25225534956_o 2g9a0083_26882444961_o img_9059_24481617385_o 2015_09_14__0129_20801200654_o img_4469_20512484106_o Gibraltar, 25 septiembre 2013.
