Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. img_3360_34112847401_o img_4820_40964768905_o festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar-25102014-32_15628305841_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-37_17362589882_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-40_29151480040_o img_2606_45564829541_o 7u3a9387_49597579561_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0099-bw_15439625722_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201401_15437071009_o img_4699_44297314220_o 31-de-mayo-ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho04_14316110555_o strongmen-201384_10018789894_o img_9581_42077110902_o img_9675_21436926736_o 7u3a0018_50032156503_o P1080662 1_Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-16 2g9a0697_48919806587_o 7U3A2466 23-feb-2018-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-e-izquierda-unida-2_38627527620_o 08-may-2017-7visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34737775245_o img_0690_36082756270_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026138831_o img_2266_36326622064_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30656124643_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-74 4-abr-2016-inauguracin-nueva-sede-banco-internacional-de-gibraltar-8_26142218492_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-42_24314267883_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-21_19968757261_o 2g9a9640_27596421980_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening img_2956_24620655214_o 9-mayo-2015-festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar-2015118_17317104788_o img_2503_24460558584_o img_2506_24997928321_o 2g9a2130_27207946506_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_23870187003_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24470797626_o 2015_09_14__0046_20801316094_o Kingston-16 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-08_20731707446_o BP200031 Sandy-Bay-Justine-Picardo-Ministra-Sacramento-y-Condesa-de-Wessex
