A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. colas-frontera-de-gibraltar-11-noviembre-20142_15144681703_o img_0383_44297008790_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-09_9225481906_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival43_14277888369_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2014-Evacuation-set 7u3a9503_49597578106_o 2019-International-Womens-Day 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-05_24315970931_o jebel-sahara-9_23129139831_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0089-bw_15439626152_o 2g9a8318_48874550688_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976505665_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-30_19570602945_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-04_9224808220_o img_9515_41403110184_o 2g9a1986_49048520743_o cruise-liners-9_25762305848_o img_4655_48714310362_o 7U3A2439 img_1807_37002182955_o 20171214_094516_39025535122_o img_9377_43969635955_o img_9096_26589053319_o_26590182769_o img_2387_26972655958_o img_1518_36213021323_o img_1165_36830716112_o 2g9a6029_30306933983_o_31078855546_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354055043_o 2g9a5849_30746111350_o_31001135911_o img_2229_36326661384_o 2g9a4584_30827334811_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-38_20999465578_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-73_21161111236_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth18_14144584656_o simulacro-accidente-aereo-en-gibraltar-03122014-08_15757896669_o img_2210_27090571524_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26361656626_o img_8903_24373478692_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
