desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_31646033928_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-17_9222331869_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-243_22122555674_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23608073176_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870139273_o 7u3a6490_49454717347_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-31_39455299714_o 2g9a8326_48875082581_o festival-literario-gibraltar25_10496800925_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-28_14150883892_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165031814_o strongmen-201357_10019051556_o img_0244_43781197681_o 7u3a5234_49336695886_o 2g9a0563_48919067573_o img_4072_45831074981_o img_4631_48714310422_o img_4077_45831074851_o img_4766_48713815658_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-58_31331038023_o img_9284_44160655834_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31349011641_o img_0794_39737052685_o 2g9a5350_30926128046_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354071023_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-44_30661182000_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978711006_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-92_22784238698_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-58_29605116175_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-16_30846311752_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-113_28981256273_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876087011_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-39_30927267476_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834018245_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-69 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23838986349_o 000-a-dsc_6133_18816098103_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_2227_27628294021_o 2g9a2053_27207718836_o img_9079_26560084455_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387589195_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-68_9291788998_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
