The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-21_16196151806_o 2g9a9939_27874097505_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26114753160_o img_8743_24186357450_o img_7671_21110833818_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-03_19746622555_o 1_2G9A0482
