A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. skywalk-gibraltar-1-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_41367550800_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez26_12101834445_o img_8812_20147134501_o img_5214_34313396111_o 2020-Post-Go-VE-Day-75th ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho18_14314253862_o img_4087_21081702946_o 2g9a0977_48806101696_o img_9424_42123276931_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-7_15832492483_o Cuevas-de-San-Miguel-13 1_img_0101_29910411388_o img_5162_48919068598_o 180731 - Visita a la nueva central eléctrica y planta de GNL img_5418_48919073343_o 2g9a8427_46581734622_o img_2382_43726243135_o img_9605_44160781214_o img_2340_26972676878_o el-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabin-picardo_37651611504_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-38_31299665694_o untitled_panorama11_36623870750_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-56_32141126685_o img_0678_36082755180_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168279395_o 2g9a6175_30970966312_o_31114930855_o 2g9a5372_30961925375_o 2g9a5385_25326079619_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-5_30962852395_o 2g9a4717_30827321101_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-26_30282256184_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876091511_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959237905_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-67_20999441478_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_17317927779_o 2g9a9890_27773285172_o img_9084_25955091144_o 2g9a2033_27170661271_o img_9169_26560144995_o 2015_09_14__0061_20801293864_o 2015_09_14__0074_21237079239_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day29_15201159832_o 2619-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20708676695_o 023_20352867078_o BP200031 img_6388_20350508858_o
