A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 15-de-abril-2016-jardines-de-la-alameda-de-gibraltar-34_26414924386_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-02_9225042222_o 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23607995826_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16191932770_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22957381509_o img_0022_43202810694_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-02_17364510895_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-09_9225481906_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868058401_o 7u3a9447_49597080888_o img_4623_31174602427_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870979432_o 2g9a2944_49094440886_o sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-11_19563737932_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16385757192_o strongmen-201357_10019051556_o img_4125_20919933358_o img_4233_20919772648_o alameda-gardens-18_27855922439_o img_5161_48919068648_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131153267_o img_4046_45831070111_o img_0309-1_45106513714_o img_4128_31960326238_o 7U3A2354 img_2367_44585495712_o img_0135_40383722430_o img_9920_40383754930_o img_2444_40800634882_o img_9149_37650280124_o_38310538586_o 08-may-2017-6visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895412264_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-41_31677585125_o img_9512_35393028143_o 2g9a5318_30926031856_o img_9587_36030364812_o 10-may-2016-visita-inaugural-crucero-jewel-of-the-seas-8_26935103445_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354071023_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24286855584_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-35_34309884702_o 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_24180733796_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-10_16034486500_o gibraltar-national-day_027_9719742224_o 1_7U3A4521 Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cross of Sacrifice, Gibraltar. img_2330_20317962051_o Condes-de-Wessex-Justine-Picardo-Ministro-Principal-Alcalde-Christian-Santos
