181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_27801530840_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. restauracin-cementerio-witham-3_25477574815_o restauracin-cementerio-witham-1_25384702571_o 2g9a9470_48908301567_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23299239466_o img_0528_44297151610_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez29_12102115703_o festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar-25102014-32_15628305841_o concierto-de-albert-hammond-7-noviembre-201407_15552849108_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii30_20593813854_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii89_21224285871_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-40_25062303546_o img_5250_33634012973_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201440_15002949204_o 2012-Royal-Visit-of-TRH-The-Earl-Countess-of-Wessex 2g9a0849_48806238492_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-28_19900998582_o img_4174_20919859978_o 7u3a9977_50032885382_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-27 Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-32 img_4931_48919598081_o 7U3A2466 img_4554_48714144486_o img_1671_43916351504_o img_1367_36849707172_o img_0184_36082739060_o 12-de-noviembre-de-2016-visita-del-ministro-licudi-al-mein-schiff-18_30874581751_o img_5091_29191045140_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876086661_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_24866074443_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-20_21187323645_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-46_21177059312_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-07_16034487340_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201418_15628569190_o 2g9a9405_27262516613_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-54_9291887936_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-41_20748602082_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-32_17995997671_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-14_9222041277_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-22_16938250224_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3765_17977804736_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day44_15201114572_o BP200031 USS-Alaska-Gib-6 EL-MP-Fabian-Picardo-y-el-Gobernador-de-Gibraltar-en-Londres-con-el-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-2
