desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_44604719515_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. skywalk-gibraltar-6-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_42273842345_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-11_15881854262_o img_3737_34086396972_o img_3800_34086384292_o img_0004_43202790444_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-01_9222657595_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival02_14464521785_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival15_14277970528_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival19_14441452636_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870672176_o 7u3a6459_49454718132_o img_2683_44650695855_o 2013-Old-Gibraltar-Views-III sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976505665_o 2012-Definitive-2012-Birds-of-the-Rock-Addition img_4233_20919772648_o 7u3a5136_49336690296_o 7u3a5180_49336226143_o img_4806-after_39603798092_o evacuation-monument-0482_27856104869_o police-1_39604052952_o img_3845_45106519224_o img_9035_38309180926_o_38310544166_o img_9106_38333460332_o_26590181149_o 1_17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32217922802_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31093430740_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-101_30962790565_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941928963_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732675472_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-11 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26679092445_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26679107575_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-42_21000558799_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening a-dsc_5660_19248995850_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth16_13981112078_o img_2813_24884286029_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26321396921_o img_3792_20898157636_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_23868808314_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-90_20679484463_o img_7781_21272358806_o img_7810_21287956172_o BP200031 2g9a8811_51680451082_o 9516462859_802bde6d80_o
