conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590502660_o gibraltar_22119365263_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 2g9a9308_48908301007_o panormica-de-la-plaza-de-casemates-de-gibraltar-al-fondo-el-pen_22119569573_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar07_14803143458_o img_5338_34284284592_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-the-sweet-canary-ensemble-36_9222684651_o 2014-Old-Gibraltar-Views-IV inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25851358156_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0261-bw_15439620162_o 7u3a9362_49597829007_o img_4703_44297315080_o 2019-Gibraltar-Luxembourg-Joint-Issue sk-slovan-bratislava-europa-fc-gibraltar-09072015-30_19570602945_o 2g9a0458_48801284051_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-28_11213202745_o 2g9a0850_48805745663_o strongman-en-casemates_9997706486_o 2g9a0886_48805746758_o 7u3a0057_50032952527_o 1_img_0093_29910414418_o P1080780 img_0160_43064727984_o st-michaels-cave-3_38737125405_o img_5376_48919812207_o img_4119-1_30891438217_o img_9737_43969712555_o img_2412-2_30765499848_o img_2409_40800642252_o reunin-del-ministro-principal-con-susana-daz-en-sevilla_28112288829_o img_2058_36213088883_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-25_31754392720_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318399582_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770641200_o 2g9a5877_30746104740_o_31001135171_o 2g9a5362_30660215730_o 2g9a4616_30827329831_o 2g9a4673_30279141143_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876087011_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565277245_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25551867193_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24821644011_o 2g9a2025_27205709016_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. img_9056_26287195250_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_25920754483_o img_7700_21272423636_o Orgullo-Gibraltar-2022-19-Ministro-Principal-y-Samantha-Sacramento gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3579_18004302885_o
