Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech restauracin-cementerio-witham-6_24850848043_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. restauracin-cementerio-witham-21_25181984520_o img_8459_20076681682_o 20150911_151747393_ios_22743905015_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-18_19468726353_o img_3382_34086345302_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-yasmin-levy-mediterranean-andalusian-orchestra-ashkelon-36_9222725509_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-lawson_9699913881_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-lawson_9703143994_o steve-cline-reino-unido_14033017725_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-42_24970469192_o 7u3a9340_49597082033_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25244584514_o festival-literario-gibraltar23_10496838984_o img_0800_20974446364_o 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho12_14125125990_o img_0160_43064727984_o 7u3a5731_49425814636_o 7u3a5090_49336224583_o 7u3a5115_49336910257_o Monos-25 gorhams-cave-8_39633659431_o Southport-gates-4 img_5254_48919809367_o 7U3A2460 img_3089_40043449575_o 08-may-2017-39visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895384554_o 2g9a9443_32228022401_o 2g9a9163_29519593124_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354077493_o 2g9a6158_30306788763_o_31001136931_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026133351_o 2g9a5108_25325348079_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26154508855_o 05-ene-2016-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23911235630_o 000-crowning-dsc_0237_19249139448_o a-dsc_5759_19440777611_o 2g9a9337_27262520053_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457502411_o 2g9a0348_26677625920_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
