Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-745_22717729606_o gibraltar-en-el-cuarto-comit-de-la-onu_30271370637_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23242828801_o img_3376_34112845901_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar35_10382626013_o img_8897_20115166826_o james-foot-en-la-galera-de-bellas-artes-de-gibraltar_17494996908_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-94_29151392220_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_2701_44839793904_o 2014-Centenary-of-World-War-I Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach 2g9a4963_48875161982_o 2g9a0735_48806099676_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165282734_o strongman-en-casemates_9997776303_o 7u3a9633_49900298003_o 2g9a8819_48826777467_o changing-of-the-guard-the-convent-0425_39633949901_o 2g9a2091_48706249136_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131074511_o img_2919_44603352141_o img_0765_25762436867_o 2g9a9407_32228028261_o img_0557_35671100963_o 2g9a9248_29519581084_o 2g9a5163_30844798092_o img_3727_37163096095_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417178195_o img_3871_37020599311_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_26808902224_o 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26405561330_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-18_23414781861_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_3004_25251243495_o img_1452_24347196224_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-60_9291845624_o img_2934_21784588945_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-31_21308808071_o img_8603_21295351466_o 2g9a6497_51341976047_o Condes-de-Wessex-Paseo-Press-Office
