A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 7u3a9468_49597827977_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0195-bw_15436771241_o MM180007 27-ene-17-fabin-picardo-visita-el-open-de-gibraltar-de-ajedrez-26_32175359530_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-07_14150416851_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-2_11213345013_o gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_003_12193958386_o gibraltar-eslovaquia12_10967499646_o strongmen-201341_10019226143_o 2g9a8822_48826777227_o 7u3a5295_49336694636_o casemates-square-1_38737099385_o img_6362ddfg_39602853922_o main-street-2410_38924276374_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131072571_o img_1470_43725802765_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-10_47644435142_o img_2327_44635531711_o img_1149_36166369564_o 08-may-2017-36visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34606275221_o img_9487_42792483980_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-43_28981297623_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354045123_o 2g9a5137_30925624506_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354074993_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-9_30800441002_o 7-feb-2017-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-y-el-alcalde-de-la-lnea-juan-franco_31949827823_o 2g9a9435_29481558725_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941944073_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941950713_o 100867_28874460633_o 21-jun-2016-inauguracin-puente-colgante-en-la-reserva-natural-del-pen-de-gibraltar_27556206430_o img_9615_26466622422_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 31-de-mayo-ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho04_14316110555_o 2g9a9861_27596509520_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_25920707703_o 2g9a0332-2_26856506532_o 2g9a0147_26882584271_o img_8778_24399482571_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
