A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_3342_34112850621_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-emili-sande_9703006280_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar01_10382461576_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii90_20595214883_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-87_29360025661_o la-galera-gustavo-bacarisas-de-gibraltar-acoge-las-obras-realizadas-durante-los-talleres-de-verano-del-servicio-de-trastornos-del-aprendizaje_23859604863_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-93_29360013401_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente17_12249501704_o 2g9a0426_48801429067_o 2g9a3968_49336914742_o 2g9a1068_48952340562_o 7u3a5840_49426046697_o jews-gate-cemetery-0492_39603829062_o img_2340_25761250938_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48114462556_o img_5211_48919070858_o img_3845_45106519224_o img_3195_40895455172_o img_9319_31008114888_o img_1518_36213021323_o r3wire-varski-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-118_44833872592_o img_2021_36849699502_o rita-ora-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-120_44833866222_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a9364_32308848286_o img_2126_36349098953_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31093429520_o img_3844_36991615302_o 2g9a5882_31113488015_o_31078853126_o 2g9a5156_30659673500_o 2g9a5224_22782890628_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876087291_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565262465_o 10-may-2016-visita-inaugural-crucero-jewel-of-the-seas-4_26661861520_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-23_20566181443_o 2g9a9745_27874083715_o img_2710_24625380783_o img_8080_21287820962_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-02_20569993680_o HMS-Pursuer1 Gibraltar, 25 septiembre 2013.
