conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590498040_o sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-06_9225063792_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Line Wall Road Polling station where tensions were high at one point this morning) - Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. restauracin-cementerio-witham-16_24847014834_o 20150911_150506743_ios_22755200661_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 7u3a9751_50033001402_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-08_19468695443_o img_4820_40964768905_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_23029449130_o 2018-End-of-WWI-Centenary inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25782333821_o heritage107_39633120181_o 2g9a0302_48801426827_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131160107_o 2g9a0974_48805746868_o img_0293_31960328868_o la-tv-alemana-zdf-graba-un-reportaje-en-gibraltar-michael-petch-zdf_25938054742_o img_2313_43726200805_o El-periodico-‘Gibraltar-Evening-Post-mostro-su-preocupacion-sobre-una-posible-guerra-con-motivo-de-la-disputa-sobre-Gibraltar.-Exposicion-‘Closure. img_4587_48713814718_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-36_31299666194_o img_9648_44160821024_o cm-4_36030361232_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402219780_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_30656122113_o img_0140_42144366382_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-7_30578377870_o 08-may-2017-20visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895397254_o 127396_29416793531_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331787634_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-53bn_21050829270_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354098693_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-05_15357850745_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026150371_o img_2830_24956318160_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37168278545_o img_8908_24398142691_o untitled_panorama1-copy_29478978855_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-27_21113799219_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-20_17807347728_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Kingston-25 The Gibraltar Music Festival 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-07_20731708136_o 32.2-2021 Albert-Isola-2 1_Incendio-en-tunel-de-Gibraltar-1 rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue12_10967628826_o
