sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-04_9222288591_o cementerio-de-trafalgar-gibraltar_22744593935_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. frontera-gibraltar-_9222289467_o puerto-deportivo-gibraltar-02_9222396467_o 2g9a9478_48908097541_o monos-en-la-ciudad-04_9222308173_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-221_22124236103_o jason-cruz_14224975050_o img_0482_32242281698_o ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar12_10382497846_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez02_12102309304_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-65_29439804845_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868055661_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-24_19901007182_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-30_29360134551_o strongmen-201373_10019008173_o 7u3a9503_49597578106_o img_9652_41222375555_o 2g9a0961_48805747068_o Monos-3 Punta-Europa-4 commonwealth-park-16_39603949822_o 2g9a4261_48230641536_o 2g9a8393_46634162131_o 2g9a4627_48713813848_o 2g9a9159_29519593734_o 2g9a4708_48713814118_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-60_30661177160_o img_9483_44600536061_o 2g9a7260_29720269882_o img_9556_44550413582_o 2g9a7460_29540582320_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-179_26771240769_o img_5257_29190529890_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026134431_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-12 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25125251089_o ceremonia-de-las-llaves-gibraltar-25092014-19_15171158110_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_25920754483_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26431300792_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457502411_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26457514381_o img_2506_24997928321_o img_3798_20931792701_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4206_17816332128_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar01_11312428915_o 2g9a8743_51680448997_o hms-scimitar-5-royal-navy_48859358278_o
