A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 2g9a5185_49471273098_o_49483105441_o-1-scaled Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-572_22556396570_o 2g9a9434_48908099111_o un-crucero-anclado-en-el-puerto-de-gibraltar_22118659433_o 14-agosto-2014-colas-de-accceso-a-gibraltar02_14918568125_o img_0092_43872556642_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-15_9225485712_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-fabian-picardo_9702997286_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival14_14441458226_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii27_20593820834_o 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742374163_o img_0685_21410198539_o img_9944_21441875066_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976592075_o 7u3a5205_49336911577_o img_0205_6_7_fused_24765393757_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-9 1_Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-16 img_4624_48713815138_o 2g9a8444_46634159891_o img_1707_36861710091_o img_2444_40800634882_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_42163382082_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-19_32022612661_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-62_32141124365_o img_2103_36973647076_o 2g9a9165_30063591511_o 2g9a5851_30746109900_o_31001127121_o 107776_29207863600_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-25_20999394178_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-44_20999252890_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-45_20566245963_o 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-19_19955891912_o 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-03_19955921242_o 2g9a9414_27839939086_o 2g9a9727_27874049585_o 2g9a9841_27262406824_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26387589195_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26321379471_o img_7655_20676033134_o Portaaviones HMS Queen Elizabeth en Gibraltar gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3754_17816384608_o 022_20124166310_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4190_17383702373_o img_4350_19918791263_o
