paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-14_9225069476_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-648_22729747142_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-665_22717427306_o img_8812_20147134501_o skywalk-gibraltar-5-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_41367548500_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-76_28818132243_o inauguracin-exposicin-vctor-quintanilla-en-gibraltar_25244589084_o img_5326_34443972735_o repatriacin-de-nacionales-britnicos-desde-marruecos-covid-19_49870979302_o 2014-Gibraltar-Sea-Scouts-Centenary portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-llegando-a-gibraltar-imagen-tomada-desde-uno-de-los-buques-de-apoyo-via-royal-navy-16_40133901972_o concierto-andrea-bocelli_48721053082_o 2g9a3038_49093921078_o festival-literario-gibraltar05_10496980584_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-25_37623775212_o 7u3a9693_49900297453_o 7u3a5103_49336224273_o img_9656_38737427045_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-1 Punta-Europa-29 img_5212_48919808437_o img_0314_31960327678_o img_4614_48713815278_o img_1528_43725778095_o img_5356_48919810192_o img_0726_36479651235_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-152_24674709848_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318398802_o img_5336_41421443345_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-25_30927279726_o img_9449_35393031003_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959235925_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770641200_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28939791934_o img_2240_36326657984_o 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-20_19340909114_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9848_27773273022_o img_9228_25955130244_o img_1402_24951485276_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201455810_o 2015_09_14__0211_21236816519_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY fuegos-artificiales-como-colofn-del-da-nacional-de-gibraltar-2015_22755955651_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day68_15014872708_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-15_19560004679_o 3_50824446263_o 2g9a6467_51341975852_o 7u3a6937_51342922503_o
