Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. img_3342_34112850621_o img_3374_34086335542_o img_0410_44297005130_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival59_15167932482_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-03_9225477948_o img_6715_35154395880_o img_6581_35154403340_o 2018-Royal-Engagement img_0559_22891140816_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea-02122013-2_11213345013_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976723295_o gibraltar-tradewise-chess-festival_009_12193748354_o img_4291_20919506910_o Monos-21 Alameda-17 2g9a1964_49048524558_o P1080593 Punta-Europa-18 2g9a6792_48204069856_o img_4582_48714144291_o img_5263_48919601271_o img_8076_44603355741_o 7U3A2455 img_1740_30765353798_o 20171214_155520_27279177159_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-169_24674693448_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978705546_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-30_29495047132_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-47_30927261796_o 2g9a4679_30279140493_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-7_30879411105_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29665542580_o img_9601_26532962996_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 9th May 2015 - Mo Anton took the first prize at the V Gibraltar Song Festival held at the Tercentennary Sports Hall in Gibraltar.Fourteen singers competed in the final from across the world following over 700 entries.
