181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 2g9a9330_48908300217_o 20150911_133216514_ios_22729474192_o default 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23338413420_o colas-frontera-2-abril-2014-infogibraltar-fotgrafo-marcos-moreno_13598811374_o img_4002_16261791265_o juan-carlos-arauzo-la-lnea-de-la-concepcin-espaa_14033034315_o 19-junio-gibraltar-world-music-festival27_14463414014_o img_9082_19954526138_o 7u3a9392_49597579526_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-34_24995328821_o hospital-de-campaa_49727126017_o portaaviones-hms-queen-elizabeth-realizando-maniobras-de-aproximacin-a-gibraltar_40133897532_o img_4646_32242473578_o img_4133_21081603426_o 2g9a9680_50032952897_o 7u3a0129_50032953117_o 2g9a4236_48230714537_o img_5233_48919600301_o img_3897_30891440657_o img_9589_44881498391_o 08-may-2017-9visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34353153370_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-169_24674693448_o 2g9a9400_32308846396_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-52_32141128905_o 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-4_31527599701_o img_0704_35671153383_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978711006_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-24_29495051842_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31427335866_o img_3787_36349091013_o 2g9a6122_31077411616_o_31078854346_o 2g9a5137_30925624506_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-72_25326915679_o 105550_29388298542_o img_5130_29399681391_o img_7821_23580018523_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. a-dsc_5314_18816025803_o a-dsc_5450_18814138884_o img_2913_21596713978_o 2015_09_14__0023_21236242008_o 2015_09_14__0064_20802901583_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar04_11312473256_o recepcin-de-la-conferencia-en-el-san-roque-club_20803062363_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day28_15014966367_o
