Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 ii-festival-internacional-de-jazz-gibraltar07_10382410644_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival61_14981587539_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii20_21216519815_o img_5323_34284299922_o img_6650_35541523305_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0151-bw_15439971905_o proyecto-de-construccin-de-las-dos-nuevas-escuelas-de-bayside-y-westside-en-waterport-gibraltar_27712734898_o 2g9a0837_48806101001_o 2g9a0302_48801426827_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16200794597_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-13_37623778612_o img_0091_43733181102_o img_9511_41403111214_o sir-david-steel_50032130168_o img_0254_43781195241_o Alameda-7 2g9a9535_50032088788_o taxi-2_25761854238_o img_3909-1_45106515714_o img_1470_43725802765_o img_1143_36166372264_o img_3224_40895452162_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-161_38490774926_o img_2362_39948487535_o img_0770_28129700179_o 2g9a5878_30746419350_o_31114930345_o img_2155_36973624536_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-13_30247385894_o 2g9a9356_29447972026_o img_5068-copy_29192350980_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417188435_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24288112443_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-19_23414779981_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-63_21161118786_o festival-internacional-de-la-cancin-de-gibraltar_16881663764_o 2g9a9449_27596409020_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_25784830083_o Sacramento-1 19-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20086116884_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3810_17977793726_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-del-secretario-de-estado-del-tesoro-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_13981604208_o BP200031 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-19
