180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral cementerio-de-trafalgar-gibraltar_22556702970_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_40401115581_o cementerio-de-trafalgar-gibraltar_22744593935_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-08_9222277731_o policia-gibraltar-02_9225047962_o monos-en-la-ciudad-11_9222303613_o COLA GIBRALTAR presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez24_12102517626_o img_0431_45202144315_o img_5335_34313414461_o img_0495_22917053565_o 2g9a0559_26817621986_o img_4623_31174602427_o 2g9a2995_49093919133_o 2g9a0579_48801429447_o img_0097_29910413118_o bayside-panorama6_48801280096_o 2g9a8844_48826627511_o 2g9a9519_50032088848_o Trafalgar-3 Cuevas-de-San-Miguel-13 Monos-29 2g9a8300_46581739082_o img_1686_37002120895_o dscf7839_43693501635_o img_8072_42792486130_o img_5406_42322450981_o img_0155_40383715590_o img_9003_38309252586_o_38334708322_o img_0630_36082732520_o llegan-los-generadores-para-la-nueva-estacin-elctrica_31318400352_o 2g9a5261_25325595389_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27834006765_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-12_22870121843_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2g9a9347_27262518813_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2g9a9848_27773273022_o img_9064_26467744852_o img_9010_24398279871_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_23870184843_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24201466560_o celebracin-entrada-gibraltar-en-la-uefa-05_9224807456_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-41_17807379738_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3661_18005059781_o 7U3A9474 gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_4192_18001012322_o
