sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-07_9222285887_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. la-entrada-al-cementerio-de-trafalgar-de-gibraltar_22119062523_o 2g9a9901_48907309493_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_0021_43016077295_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival30_14461042521_o 2018-Royal-Engagement lincoln-uefa-21072015-27_19720497008_o Gibraltar - Operation Sea Snake sees tanks and Royal Marines land on Eastern Beach bayside-panorama5_48800933633_o img_9652_41222375555_o 7u3a9974_50032626861_o 2g9a1159_48951598628_o 2g9a2568_49086447926_o gorhams-cave-3_39633657121_o a5f2801198b538a6ef6768746b489725 2g9a5898_48204606796_o img_5331_48919602701_o img_0230_31960313828_o img_0286_45831068691_o dscf7859_44600529141_o img_9503_31008237548_o img_1908_26967038948_o img_3014_43693496555_o img_1367_36849707172_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-30_32090609846_o img_9057_38333196102_o_24494942398_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-1_32102454396_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-25_31299670184_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331782264_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-6_29314690470_o 2g9a6104_30306720053_o_31001128131_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-94_30661161100_o img_2323_36349036413_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417180285_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-60_20564685354_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth11_14165027312_o 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth_13981114460_o 2g9a9671_27839953626_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24388713882_o gibraltar-national-day_026_9719744436_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24497013895_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-80_21112517770_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day39_15014931538_o 2g9a8800_51681246381_o John-Cortes-2 hms-scimitar-5-royal-navy_48859358278_o
