A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-12_9222658431_o concierto-de-albert-hammond-7-noviembre-201407_15552849108_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-07_9222705751_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii26_20595366793_o img_6798_35502341306_o 7u3a6490_49454717347_o 2017-50th-Anniversary-of-the-1967-Referendum 2g9a3002_49093922173_o cervantes-03 university-30_39633681121_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39876482801_o lincoln-uefa-21072015-31_19287584903_o img_9424_42123276931_o 7u3a9570_49901122087_o img_9701_20840408884_o 2g9a2037_49049239982_o Monos-52 P1080628 img_5165_48919068503_o img_5307_48919812357_o img_8735_26036950178_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_40402218740_o img_7262_34614722442_o img_9572_36197415685_o 2g9a9154_29519595894_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331782354_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-102_29494991242_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978713966_o gorhams-panorama1_29720266692_o img_2264_36349052493_o 118210_29462644736_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-8 visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25881621180_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltarvisita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25881618630_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201455_15628563400_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-92_20677906464_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_25918661114_o img_8631_21133510200_o img_5993_25704752580_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day67_15198408941_o 2919-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20682426726_o Remembrance-Sunday-2022-22 El-Real-Regimiento-de-Gibraltar-actua-de-nuevo-como-Regimiento-de-Guardia-de-la-Reina-en-Londres-21 rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue05_10967632806_o
