180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral nueva-ruta-area-gibraltar-manchester_28082061395_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_152238465_ios_22718017546_o EL-MIN2 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival03_14461016311_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival12_14277718729_o img_8929_20116542766_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 7u3a6492_49454717262_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-40_25062303546_o intercambio-cultural-entre-gibraltar-y-cdiz_42848301502_o 2g9a0331_48801427832_o img_0091_43733181102_o Recuento-de-votos-del-referendum-de-1967-en-John-Mackintosh-Hall.-Fotografia-expuesta-en-Closure 7u3a5775_49426045167_o img_0160_43064727984_o 7u3a5145_49336226748_o img_9690_21275075720_o commonwealth-park-10_38925456644_o 2g9a3950_49336910632_o img_0181_31960313228_o img_4703_48714145051_o dscf7912_44550422882_o img_9202_24493827438_o_24494935818_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-28_29495048432_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354080623_o 2g9a4513_30280743234_o 2g9a4554_30827342191_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29565277245_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_25549743524_o 02-mar-2016-inauguracin-omisara-de-polica-de-casemates_25492772845_o 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-41_24310520824_o 85-aniversario-museo-gibraltar-23072015-20_19340909114_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off investidura-adolfo-canepa-como-nuevo-alcalde13_13581563104_o 2g9a9638_27596424500_o img_9207_26560135255_o img_8947_24113987579_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24496999075_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
