conferencia-sobre-telecomunicaciones-de-la-commonwealth_38590504290_o 4984-2020_50166835091_o Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. restauracin-cementerio-witham-2_25110010969_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-15_9225110432_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. airport-18_39633898931_o airport-0431_24765626727_o colas-de-salida-26-01-15_16191934570_o img_9885_43921154781_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii87_21216356285_o 2013-RAF-Squadrons-II default 2018-End-of-WWI-Centenary default regiment-freedom-of-city-0114_15438414642_o img_0802_21597290925_o img_4703_44297315080_o img_4203_21276167750_o 2g9a1988_49048520218_o 7u3a5857_49426045967_o Alameda-17 img_5305_42275716132_o img_4762_48714140891_o img_2444_40800634882_o img_9296_29944470397_o img_9192_24493865138_o_38310532486_o img_7187_34391520690_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-24_31331049223_o img_0472_36082667740_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354076983_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-12_29314685130_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770640400_o 2g9a6060_30999748691_o_31001125971_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36978713336_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29959238505_o 3-de-diciembre-2015-bienvenida-al-atlethic-de-bilbao-08_22868970364_o concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-12bn_21052079579_o a-dsc_5704_19410484906_o 21-june-calentita-035_14479570944_o 2g9a1710_26964556390_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26295221642_o 2015_09_14__0252_21412672542_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-52_9291899526_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno02_10967188896_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-29_17534381256_o 7u3a6928_51342923593_o 7u3a6938_51342695646_o Remembrance-Sunday-2022-19 Condes-de-Wessex-Justine-Picardo-Ministro-Principal-Alcalde-Christian-Santos
