181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto Primer vuelo Gibraltar-Marrakech Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. europa-foreshore_48248248301_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-12_24457994784_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-87_29360025661_o 7u3a9411_49597828732_o 2018-HMS-Queen-Elizabeth 7u3a9474_49597080448_o img_9927_21280284778_o 2g9a4927_48875162757_o 2g9a0843_48806100901_o 2g9a0841_48805745878_o 2g9a3038_49093921078_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165194224_o 7u3a9974_50032626861_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39843233622_o 7u3a9668_49901121347_o entrenamiento-conjunto-balona-san-joseph-en-la-linea1-13_11213306073_o img_1917_39633888391_o 2g9a1964_49048524558_o img_5221_48919600476_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48114498408_o img_5254_48919809367_o img_4539_48714143481_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-125_29494977692_o img_1801_36166463984_o 2g9a5108_25325348079_o img_9490_44550410832_o 2g9a5057_22782516378_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354081333_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-5_30243942683_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026132951_o img_4454_25550523361_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026134531_o img_9046_24399224261_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening img_8674_23855743463_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201430_15628237047_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_23870184843_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26250763670_o img_7644_21288137482_o 2019-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20682434616_o img_8077_21298434505_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day28_15014966367_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day40_15198462931_o Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cross of Sacrifice, Gibraltar.
