Vistas de Gibraltar 160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 7u3a9845_50032742426_o colas-frontera-diciembre04_12348633105_o 20-agosto-2014-colas-de-salida-de-gibraltar07_14984514471_o fiesta-del-1-de-mayo-en-gibraltar-01052015-16_16744207283_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 img_8990_19521761183_o img_9970_21441824476_o img_2697_44839795554_o ii-jornada-y-clausura-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho19_14292936086_o superman-en-gibraltar-actor-henry-cavill-carrera-5km-del-350-aniversario-de-la-marina-britanica-25102014-05_15610802496_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente19_12249057895_o 2g9a0949_48806102211_o strongmen-201312_10019332796_o 2g9a0961_48805747068_o strongmen-201368_10019056373_o img_0173_41972501510_o 7u3a5810_49426047447_o img_9668_21471741291_o 7u3a5253_49336227218_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48114461641_o img_0135_45831060111_o img_9600_44881495361_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-2_33659897863_o img_8082_42792485940_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31427335356_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall 2g9a5163_30844798092_o 15-diciembre-2016-inauguracin-de-la-restauracin-de-wellingtong-front-22_31562038491_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-15_30843119206_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-50-aniversario-referndum-10967-6_36312449634_o_36354892323_o 2g9a7317_29750652991_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29275182530_o 102923_29388300872_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221947944_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 000-a-dsc_6116_19436719665_o a-dsc_5314_18816025803_o tom-lackey-acrobata-aereo-de-94-anos-en-gibraltar-10102014-10_15516255125_o 2g9a9344_27798145511_o img_3262_27839989376_o 2015_09_14__0129_20801200654_o DE8A101 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-84_21289984542_o 2015_09_14__0006recepcin-de-la-conferencia-en-el-san-roque-club_21397890436_o nuevo-gobernador-de-gibraltar11_11312422015_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-39_20570007560_o
