panormica-desde-la-parte-alta-del-pen_22551621860_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - Fabian Picardo led his GSLP/LiberalAlliance Ministers to the Convent earlier this morning where there were sworn into Government by Acting Governor Alison Macmilan. He and his team then headed to Number Six where they held their first press call as the newly formed Government following a landslide victory. COLA GIBRALTAR Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_0445_45202136315_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival05_14277757440_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival41_15168380615_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii90_20595214883_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-28_24793050210_o img_2641_44650721895_o untitled_panorama1_44650695135_o 2019-Leonardo-da-Vinci MM180007 img_0645_21605899071_o 2g9a0556_26757785812_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16199271150_o gibraltar-eslovaquia03_10967407065_o 1_img_0068_41972485330_o img_3541_39603140302_o Mezquita-1 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131073431_o dscf7930_43693499335_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-26_33820114238_o 20171214_121556_24195068477_o img_8784_39910034801_o img_0266_36479574835_o img_0434_36479608435_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-66_29605107235_o img_3729_36765429050_o 2g9a6141_30746383930_o_31114931595_o img_3735_36349111423_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-25_30927279726_o 2g9a7305_29833297105_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28939774144_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27732675872_o 2-jun-2016-salvas-en-gibraltar-honor-al-aniversario-de-coronacin-de-la-reina_27417188435_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. concierto-evacuados-de-gibraltar-07092015-14bn_21246898631_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-68_20566226503_o visita-del-ministro-principal-a-cdiz_26523590345_o img_4472_25643187915_o lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_25784830083_o img_2954_21596347078_o img_2994_21596151730_o img_7739_21306784391_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-41_17807379738_o 1_7U3A4587 2g9a8726_51682128440_o
