180607 - Gibraltar realiza trabajos en enclaves y en el litoral 160421 - Inauguración de la nueva marina en Gibraltar para barcos pequeños Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Commissioner of police at Town Range Polling Station as he oversees security) Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. memorial-en-honor-a-los-cados-estadounidenses-en-gibraltar-durante-la-i-guerra-mundial_22119577283_o paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-09_9225093668_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. paisajes-urbanos-gibraltar-15_9225110432_o vistas-desde-el-castillo-moro-de-gibraltar_22740349645_o 29-mayo-inauguracin-xvii-juegos-del-estrecho15_14311136714_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-25_29331831142_o 2g9a9680_50032952897_o 2g9a0368_48801282306_o 7u3a5077_49336691636_o 2g9a0426_48801429067_o alameda-gardens-17_39603967062_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-11 img_5301_48919804312_o img_4680_48714310332_o img_3954_30891445097_o 7U3A2459 img_1731_43916389304_o cm-la-linea-panorama2_41421464965_o CM & Franco Visit Frontier Exhibition 060619 { seq} ( Photo John Bugeja) at the JMHall img_5409_41421462875_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-16_31331051943_o img_0658_36082750110_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-103_29494973242_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770663330_o img_4988_29446959436_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29332687573_o 2g9a9344_27798145511_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 2g9a9664_27262508043_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off lanzamiento-de-la-campaa-gibraltar-stronger-in-europe_26321379471_o 2g9a0163_26951098325_o 2015_09_14__0228_20802571573_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-17_9292081732_o img_8097_21306539431_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-44_9289169351_o img_8125_20675680014_o Gibraltar -28th September 2015 - The Governor of Gibraltar today departed From office bidding Farewell to politicians and the armed Forces in what ended up to be a low Key ceremony.
