This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. 2g9a9919_48908040682_o vista-area-de-las-colas-de-acceso-a-gibraltar_9460827010_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-16_9225440822_o 2013-Gibraltar-54th-Member-of-UEFA Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 2017-Military-Heritage 27-ene-17-alumnos-de-la-escuela-obispo-fitzgerald-de-gibraltar-conmemoran-el-holocausto_31742374973_o 2g9a2940_49094630892_o 2g9a0257_48801426002_o Royal-Wedding La-frontera-cerrada-vista-desde-Espana-con-numerosas-personas-agolpadas-para-poder-ver-a-sus-seres-queridos.-Fotografia-de-Gibraltar-Chronicle partido-prensa-cdiz-veteranos-de-gibraltar-07_14755370252_o strongmen-201378_10018973993_o img_4105_20921051579_o img_4264_20485010034_o 2g9a9808_50032156183_o Monos-en-la-ciudad-13 jumpers-bastion-3_38924863084_o img_1885_26967044668_o img_5365_41421448745_o 08-may-2017-33visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_34575531942_o img_9480_35393044673_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354093173_o 2g9a4548_30879149156_o 24-sep-2016-toma-de-posesin-de-carmelo-zammit-del-cargo-de-obispo-de-gibraltar_29876090451_o 2g9a7389_29833263405_o miss-gibraltar-en-la-cabalgata-de-los-reyes-magos-en-gibraltar_23578622244_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-14_16196154626_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
