181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto img_0127_20249762582_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. neandertales-fenicios-romanos-rabes-los-pilares-de-hrcules-y-la-batalla-de-trafalgar-repsewntados-en-este-monumento-a-la-entrada-de-gibraltar_22740491585_o 2g9a9945_48907306628_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-665_22717427306_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-11_20081748292_o skywalk-gibraltar-14-photo-taken-for-bovis-koala-jv-by-meteogibs-photographer-stephen-ball_42273843655_o img_5266_34313435421_o 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-18_24398430515_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_26002396678_o 2g9a8344_48875082121_o strongmen-201318_10019374833_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_26002359448_o strongmen-201326_10019188594_o img_9405_42123217571_o img_9448_42123273581_o 2g9a1134_48952341322_o Monos-29 alameda-gardens-3_27855287699_o P1080798 2g9a6724_48204067811_o img_5018_48919597726_o img_9171_37650531664_o_37651613904_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-96_26771252499_o 08-may-2017-8visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895409644_o img_5291_42275711632_o 2g9a9372_32228016691_o 6-enero-2016-cabalgata-reyes-magos-gibraltar-ii-3_31299677854_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-76_29495004612_o 2g9a4644_30827326321_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-19_30282261864_o 2g9a7417_29205888734_o 10-may-2016-visita-inaugural-crucero-jewel-of-the-seas-8_26935103445_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-5 10-feb-2016-celebracin-en-gibraltar-del-ao-nuevo-chino-5_24573487469_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 24-jun-2016-comparecencia-de-fabin-picardo-en-el-parlamento-de-gibraltar-tras-referndum-permanencia-ru-en-ue-9_27878396025_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-28_21161146256_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-17_16196153176_o 2g9a9864_27262419174_o img_2927_25251376405_o img_2917_21161547454_o 2015_09_14__0192_21412841592_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-08_17372613394_o 19-agosto-2015-celebracin-del-centenario-del-nacimiento-de-sir-joshua-hassan_20699413762_o 75-years-gibraltar-honouring-generation-21_16938262114_o 20-de-agosto-2015-celebraciones-aniversario-sir-joshua-hassan-mar-del-sur-45_20748599032_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day61_15201459975_o
