140520 - Obras en la frontera de Gibraltar Accesibilidad a las playas de Gibraltar Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. line-wall-road-gibraltar_22714746126_o monumento-situado-en-la-plaza-de-casemates-en-gibraltar-en-honor-a-los-gibraltareos-que-participaron-como-voluntarios-en-la-ii-guerra-mundial_22714410926_o 20150911_133313707_ios_22754398491_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-656_22717450346_o img_3363_34202597316_o elecciones-generales-gibraltar-26-de-noviembre-de-2015_22957234899_o 2020-75th-Anniversary-of-VE-Day img_0513_45389672554_o img_0753_21597029625_o 01-mar-2016-entrega-de-premios-concurso-artistas-jvenes-de-gibraltar_24862359824_o open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_15764241894_o 15-de-enero-2016-simulacro-de-rescate-con-helicpteros-merlin-mk3-en-gibraltar-05_24315970931_o strongmen-201322_10019354643_o img_0855_21409310568_o img_5705_49086660242_o 2g9a0823_48806101076_o img_7503_25762253828_o 2g9a1068_48952340562_o Alameda-19 2g9a1990_49049019801_o img_0179_45831057901_o 2g9a4663_48714308717_o img_2362_39948487535_o img_9966_27319556317_o 2g9a9378_32228016271_o 2g9a9464_31505851874_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31427335356_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-35_34309884702_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_29484969391_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-39_29495040972_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221928364_o visita-oficial-del-gobernador-al-puerto-de-gibraltar_26088171581_o a-dsc_6030_18815831303_o 5-enero-2014-cabalgata-de-reyes-gibraltar-07_16034487340_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 2g9a9899_27596506160_o img_4496_25550460821_o img_2512_24723567459_o gobernador-de-gibraltar-edward-davis_24497001475_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-37_9291993458_o img_2897_21784562305_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-55_21308775621_o img_7646_21110870298_o fabian-picardo-en-los-cursos-de-verano-de-san-roque-16072015-11_19746601295_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day09_15015020318_o 29.10-2021 fabian-picardo3_9939613754_o
