181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto Gibraltar - 26th November 2015 - (Both Joe Bossano for GSLP/Libs and Kim Karnani Santos attended Line Wall Road where tensions were high at one point this morning). Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_31646033928_o presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez17_12102160233_o 21-agosto-2014-colas-de-entrada-y-salida-de-gibraltar01_14803072069_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival62_14981650270_o img_6741_35541514705_o HMS-Forth-3 img_9966_21457063922_o 2g9a0959_48806101981_o 7u3a9663_49901121447_o 2g9a1105_48951599463_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-26 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48114462606_o 2g9a5346_48725846883_o 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131067946_o img_5165_48919068503_o img_0212_45781930422_o img_9276_29944486347_o img_9501_42792483710_o img_5317_41421438505_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-184_38547038411_o img_2429_26972641788_o reunin-del-ministro-principal-con-susana-daz-en-sevilla_39182268234_o img_9021_37650138674_o_24494944638_o img_7178_33968356873_o 08-may-2017-12visita-inaugural-del-crucero-celebrity-or-reflection-a-gibraltar_33895405434_o 2g9a9337_32228019781_o img_0594_36082709670_o 2g9a9821_29372678862_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36331782264_o 5-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-67_20999441478_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off 000-a-dsc_6080_18815820603_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off img_9157_26467815392_o Chief Rabbi of Commonwealth at Jews Gate Cemetery opening img_9084_25955091144_o gibraltar-national-day_033_9719731836_o 9-septiembre-15-national-day-2015-60_21112549970_o img_8567_21134726509_o ceremonia-75-anos-evacuacion-gibraltar-22052015-17_17807340878_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day25_15178525586_o Gibraltar celebrates 75 years since Evacuation 2g9a8749_51682128890_o 7u3a1295_51682129245_o Condes-de-Wessex-en-la-entrada-del-Parlamento-de-Gibraltar rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue01_10967634866_o
