A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 9-de-diciembre-de-2015-ceremonia-inaugural-del-nuevo-parlamento-de-gibraltar_23525581062_o 25-noviember-2014-cola-de-salida-gibraltar-06_15262858513_o 6-de-septiembre-2014-iii-gibraltar-music-festival08_14981926707_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii17_21224462011_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201416_15437116099_o img_9927_21280284778_o henry-cavill-en-la-carrera-del-350-aniversario-de-los-royal-marines-en-gibraltar-25-octubre-201434_15438130570_o 2g9a0837_48806101001_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165130584_o Royal-Wedding 2012-Royal-Visit-of-TRH-The-Earl-Countess-of-Wessex open-tradewise-de-ajedrez-de-gibraltar_16386698925_o img_4107_21472825011_o 2g9a3968_49336914742_o 7u3a5079_49336224918_o Caleta-y-Playa 2g9a6750-copy_48204160647_o 2g9a8462_46581732872_o img_3376_39127762310_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-106_38547066391_o img_0797_26036943708_o img_8721_39877397052_o untitled_panorama1_36832762226_o 2g9a9174_29519227783_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_37026133681_o 8-noviembre-2016-premios-certamen-internacional-de-arte-de-gibraltar-34_30578367120_o img_3857_36326629114_o 04-sep-2016-gibraltar-music-festival_28941928963_o img_5130_29399681391_o img_5192_29479184095_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27221928364_o Gibraltar Music Festival Sets off Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 000-crowning-dsc_6134_18814191134_o 2g9a9783_27840003426_o flashmob-sunborn-gibraltar-1411201416_15789743306_o img_9079_26560084455_o 2015_09_14__0269_20802448753_o gibraltar-national-day-2013-210_9716930595_o a-exalcaldesa-de-la-lnea-de-la-concepcin-gemma-araujo-psoe-saluda-al-ministro-principal-de-gibraltar-fabian-picardo_21423551375_o 7u3a1219_51680449772_o 9-mayo-2014-visita-a-gibraltar-del-secretario-de-estado-britnico-daniel-alexander-con-ocasin-del-da-de-europa_14164926931_o 7u3a1288_51680449382_o El-Gobernador-David-Stee-Fabian-Picardo-y-Justine-Picardo-2
