A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. img_0332_45389523654_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-16_24970501302_o 2013-Birds-Overprint img_7589_35347377330_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0145_15253268370_o jebel-sahara-2-el-cnel-cte-badr-entrega-una-placa-al-cte-de-las-ffaa-britnicas-en-gibraltar_22725318789_o university-31_39633680661_o 2g9a0778_48806237132_o visita-platini-gibraltar-rock-cup-2014-20_13967056577_o La-frontera-cerrada-vista-desde-Espana-con-numerosas-personas-agolpadas-para-poder-ver-a-sus-seres-queridos.-Fotografia-de-Gibraltar-Chronicle strongmen-201338_10019112414_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_38976512385_o img_9576_41403097644_o 5-febrero-2015-entrega-premios-festival-internacional-de-ajedrez-tradewise-de-gibraltar-14_16264863008_o 7u3a5808_49425347588_o img_9662_20840476774_o Teleferico-Parte-Alta-del-Penon-22 7u3a0134_50032693781_o img_3900_45831057411_o 2g9a4491_48713812588_o img_3929-1_45106516084_o img_4766_48713815658_o 2g9a5798_32383640370_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-9_33820113778_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-26_29495049872_o nova-twins-at-mtv-presents-gibraltar-calling-2018-day-2-by-ollie-millington-116_43972682515_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-115_26771239399_o inauguracin-del-monumento-a-la-mujer-en-gibraltar_31427335356_o 16-a-19-nov-2017-festival-internacional-de-literatura-gibunco-de-gibraltar-119_38515437272_o 9-de-noviembre-2016-fabin-picardo-en-la-feria-internacional-del-bunkering-ibia-31_30879399355_o img_4996_29481192055_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-79 27-abr-16-homenaje-a-los-trabajadores-de-gibraltar_26652388596_o Calentita Night 2014 Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home. 10-may-2014-relevo-del-bastn-de-la-reina-de-los-juegos-de-la-commonwealth02_14187850073_o 2g9a0119_26917385096_o despedida-del-gobernador-de-gibraltar-13112013-marcos-moreno29_10967095185_o 10-septiembre-2014-national-day52_15198438641_o gibraltar-evacuation-dsc_3825_18004980901_o img_6467_20317781971_o sgg_20125100039_o PRMC Personnel getting COVID Vaccine
