181016 - Gibraltar inaugura las nuevas oficinas del Puerto horadelplanetagibraltar8_13495514165_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - With security around John Macintosh Hall tightened, the first ballot box surprised everyone arriving dead on 10pm, the time polling stations were supposed to close their doors. A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. desayuno-financiero-de-gibraltar-en-londres_30577199487_o sector-juego-online-ladboke-gibraltar-10_9222283431_o 2g9a9407_48907561353_o southport-gates_22714540406_o turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-717_22730243822_o img_4011_16075876857_o cola-entrada-a-gibraltar-28072015-02_19468708393_o img_3391_34112868251_o img_4803_41863362271_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-this-side-up_9699795193_o 10-mayo-2016-inauguracin-nueva-ala-del-museo-de-gibraltar_26868057221_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_0639_21585720012_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-24_28818270023_o 2g9a0541_26246266054_o 2g9a0269_48801427327_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente34_12249206373_o 2g9a0426_48801429067_o img_8581_38737100725_o sebastian-coe-en-gibraltar_39165270094_o lighthouse_25761731128_o P1080605 Punta-Europa-4 P1080698 2g9a0656_48919599111_o 2g9a8447_32759667008_o img_8935_24493372478_o_38310548226_o cambio-de-guardia-en-gibraltar-por-boda-real_42163383482_o 2g9a9443_32228022401_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36354051213_o 05-mayo-17-visita-claire-moody-20_34309882092_o img_2160_36973622246_o 7-feb-2017-encuentro-entre-fabin-picardo-y-el-alcalde-de-la-lnea-juan-franco_31949828963_o 13-noviembre-2016-da-del-recuerdo-en-gibraltar-23_30962841425_o 18-jun-2016-noche-de-la-calentita-en-gibraltar_27799742666_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
