This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-1-en-chordais-08_9222660985_o 6-septiembre-2015-gibraltar-music-festival-2015-iii50_21028535958_o img_5214_34313396111_o img_1819_44839792634_o regiment-freedom-of-city-0089_15252154468_o img_0797_21597307915_o img_4646_32242473578_o img_4702_46063765432_o img_4248_20919754458_o 11-oct-2017-eurafrica-trail-21_37623775942_o img_9644_40316197620_o 7u3a9982_50032885307_o 7u3a5768_49425349573_o Trafalgar-11 img_2340_25761250938_o img_5336_48919602591_o img_2977_42792489040_o 25-abr-2019-visita-fabin-picardo-al-ies-virgen-de-la-esperanza-de-la-lnea-12_32754310517_o img_1416_44635135751_o img_9584_44881501401_o 2g9a9400_32308846396_o img_3544_36982597593_o 1_17-feb-2017-visita-a-gibraltar-del-alcalde-de-chiclana-jos-mara-romn-y-rueda-de-prensa-con-fabin-picardo_32217922802_o 2g9a5122_30961345965_o 2g9a9283_29448087646_o 09-feb-2016-simulacro-de-incidente-en-el-aeropuerto-de-gibraltar_24797045652_o a-dsc_5640_19430290332_o img_2962_25251294585_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
