A stream of ballot boxes then arrived as GBC announced the results of their exit poll putting the GSLP/Liberal Alliance ahead with 72%. As counting started by midnight candidates started to arrive at John Macintosh Hall where the count is taking place. One of the first candidates to arrive was John Cortes, followed by Edwin Reyes. Moments later Joseph Garcia, Gilbert Licudi, Albert Isola and Steven Linares arrived to a somewhat quite JHM as counting started. The verification count was overseen by agents of both parties, with the Governor Alison Macmilan also visiting JMH to oversee the protocols being followed, as is traditional during general elections in Gibraltar.John Macintosh Hall also saw tonight armed patrols present around the area, in keeping with the high security alert status presently experienced in Gibraltar. The security detail deployed included the presence of an inspector within the armed response detail, this being one of the few occassions in which a high ranking officer has been seen present as part of the unit when in public. 20150911_141754665_ios_22743471585_o panormica-desde-la-parte-alta-del-pen_22750648491_o 14-agosto-2014-colas-de-accceso-a-gibraltar02_14918568125_o img_0028_43016074105_o Gibraltar - 27th November 2015 - As Gibraltar woke up for work, John Macintosh Hall closed the count to the general election placing the GSLP/Liberal Alliance as the party to form Government. With an overall mayority 68.03% against the GSD's 31.37, the GSLP/Liberals recorded an overwhelming victory which once again sees Fabian Picardo as the Chief Minister of Gibraltar. The results were: -PICARDO, Fabian Raymond 10852 GARCIA, Joseph John 10661 CORTES, John Emmanuel 10529 LICUDI, Gilbert Horace 10379 ISOLA , Albert Joseph 10313 COSTA, Neil Francis 10048 SACRAMENTO, Samantha Jane 9822 LINARES, Steven Ernest 9690BALBAN, Paul John 9511 BOSSANO, Joseph John 9145FEETHAM, Daniel Anthony 5054 HASSAN NAHON, Marlene Dinah Esther 4892 PHILLIPS, Elliott John 4784 REYES, Edwin Joseph 4766 CLINTON, Roy Mark 4733 HAMMOND, Trevor Nicholas 4578LLAMAS, Lawrence Francis 4565 VASQUEZ, Robert Michael 4535 WHITE, Christopher George 4324 KARNANI-SANTOS, Kim Sylvia 4314 presentacin-libro-yanitos-tllez30_12102215094_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-publico-y-ambiente_9699858495_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-03_9225477948_o 19-mayo-gibraltar-world-music-festival35_14463257414_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions 2g9a2982_49094439436_o 17-febrero-2016-exposicin-gibraltar-y-la-guerra-civil-espaola-40_25062303546_o cervantes-03 superman-en-gibraltar-actor-henry-cavill-carrera-5km-del-350-aniversario-de-la-marina-britanica-25102014-03_15448392848_o tradewise-chess-festival-entrevistas-y-ambiente19_12249057895_o strongmen-201334_10019190525_o img_9448_42123273581_o 1_img_0104_42877253635_o img_9671_40316193850_o img_0230_29910449308_o 7u3a5714_49425346503_o Cuevas-de-San-Miguel-12 23-jun-2019-blogueros-espaoles-de-viajes-visitan-el-pen_48131067151_o img_3027_44603357171_o 24-04-2017-desfile-de-la-libertad-de-la-ciudad-de-los-royal-engineers-5_34113617351_o img_2376_26972661488_o 5-enero-2017-cabalgata-de-reyes-magos-gibraltar-30_32090609846_o img_9008_38364015011_o_26590188299_o 2g9a7430_29205975844_o 160910-national-day-gibraltar-2016-96_29524283771_o 2g9a9546_29447159256_o 2g9a9289_29193661580_o Escala-inaugural-del-crucero-Ovation-of-the-Seas-90 img_9619_26532945696_o Gibraltar - 7th September 2015 - Gibraltar celebrated its first official Evacuation Commemoration Day with a concert hosted by the government of Gibraltar for some 800 evacuee survivors from the Second World War. The concert was held at the Victoria Stadium using the same stages and facilities used the day earlier by the Gibraltar Music Festival.Evacuation Commemoration Day was officially introduced earlier this year after Gibraltar celebrated 75 years since the whole of the Gibraltar population was evacuated during the second World War. Many of the Gibraltarians were taken to London where some died during the London blitz. Whilst most stayed in London, others were taken to Northern Ireland, Madiera and Jamacia. It was only a confrontation between population leaders that Gibraltarians were allowed back on the Rock after British officials had initially refused to return the population back to its rightful home.
