Police were today requested to make their presence known at the polling station by Line Wall Road after GSD activists handing leaflets outside the polling station are alleged to have made complaints over the use of the language used by a GSLP/Liberal activist handing leaflets to voters of Moroccan origins.According to reports received by Core Photography the GSD activists complained that the use of the native Moroccan language should not be allowed by those guiding voters outside the polling station, claiming the "official language in Gibraltar is English," according to witnesses present during the incident. This resulted in tensions between the activists. Police were present to calm down the situation which has been played down as a minor incident. Executive members of the GSD approached over the incident have indicated that they were not at the time aware of such an incident, but have indicated that they would not support such actions and would be looking into the matter. No further known incidents have been reported throughout the day.Voting has been steady throughout the day, with politicians attending the polling stations throughout the morning as voters queue up to vote. The Commissioner of Police has attended polling stations to oversee security in person. turismo-en-gibraltar-092015-122_22756702961_o img_0383_44297008790_o Schoolchildren and parents were made to wait to cross the road on the Gibraltar side over 20-30 minutes at a time as Spanish border controls forced the authorities in Gibraltar to implement traffic controls. The delays were caused by The Policia Nacional holding pedestrian back from crossing to their Customs zone. img_9332_28984556927_o gibraltar-music-festival-2013-olly-murs_9703099932_o concierto-de-albert-hammond-7-noviembre-201407_15739843512_o gibraltar-world-music-festival-dia-2-mark-eliyahu-ensemble-09_9225481906_o 3-de-septiembre-de-2016-gibraltar-music-festival-60_28815994774_o Gibraltar Music Festival 2015 Sunday sessions img_0630_21570719666_o img_0817_21409167420_o strongmen-201319_10019235074_o bayside-panorama3_48800933443_o img_9420_42123278181_o img_4094_20485244984_o img_9640_41222384875_o 2g9a8830_48826252508_o img_9497_27252725437_o Trafalgar-8 img_1917_39633888391_o img_7610_38925222864_o Alameda-20 P1080641 P1080677 2g9a0702_48919068933_o img_5445_48919595806_o img_4574_48714144356_o img_2398_40800646832_o 14-diciembre-2016-gbc-open-day-maratn-benfico-14_31527587901_o img_9949_36342185631_o 10-sep-2017-national-day-de-gibraltar_36770663330_o 2g9a4610_30827330941_o 11-november-2016-98-ceremonia-del-da-del-armisticio-en-gibraltar-7_30828743051_o 2g9a9356_29447972026_o 2g9a9968_27596511960_o The Gibraltar Music Festival img_9168_26494067821_o img_4513_25275518919_o gibraltar-300-aos-de-utrecht-1372013-30_9289253693_o GIBRALTAR NATIONAL DAY Kingston-16 1_7U3A4503 BP200031 25 2g9a8735_51682129015_o rueda-de-prensa-resolucin-comisin-ue04_10967548765_o
